Herbal medicine has three main aims. 1 - To treat the immediate problem. 2 - To stengthen the body and aid recovery. 3 - To maintain the health of the entire body. Herbal remedies are made from fresh, infused, powdered or extracted herbs are used to treat or prevent ill health. Due to growing interest in the medicinal properties of plants, herbalists require a greater knowledge of plants and their actions in the body. The high standard of science subjects presented in The Advanced Diploma of Medical Herbalism allow students to confidently practice herbal medicine and progress to further study in the Bachelor of Health Science (herbal medicine) if desired.
Please note that the subjects may be studied individually for personal interest as well
and will allow you to gain a greater understanding of your own health.
